Amazon applies for e-wallet licence, Takes on Paytm, Flipkart Money
In a move aimed at building its presence in the payments space, Amazon’s India arm has applied for a semi-closed wallet licence with the RBI. A central bank committee is expected to review new applications next month. Amazon is looking to open up the wallet for third-party platforms as well.

Quikr merger: CommonFloor sees job cuts

Decline in inflation on expected line: Finanace ministry
Retail inflation eased in February as food prices rose at a slower pace, while Wholesale Price Index stayed in negative territory for the 16th month. Retail inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), rose by 5.18 per cent in February, lower than 5.69 per cent in January.

RBI to infuse Rs 15,000 crore liquidity via open market operations
As part of the open market operations, RBI will purchase government securities maturing in 2020 (bearing interest rate of 8.27 per cent), 2022 (8.35 per cent), 2024 (8.40 per cent), 2026 (8.33 per cent) and 2028 (8.60 per cent), 2032 (8.32 per cent).
